 "So so keyboard" 2010-08-18
By Miguel A. Kieling
I don't recommend this keyboard because very often the keyboard doesn't keep up with my typing speed. Information doesn't get transmitted fast enough and that makes me have to retype lots of letters. It's annoying. I'll have to buy a new keyboard. This is a waste of time.

"Nice looking wireless keyboard with poor build quality" 2010-08-16
By Anstmich
While the scissor-key technology in the keyboard is nice, the build quality is greatly lacking. As other reviews have noted, the keys are very prone to popping off. The keys are secured in place by two VERY thin plastic rods. Once one of these rods breaks (likely caused by hitting the key on the corner or around the edges rather than in the center) the key will no longer rest perfectly in place or even at all. Note: this happened to my right arrow key which I have not used up until recently.

Other than the apparent poor build quality, the keyboard is rather sexy, nice and quiet, nice range, etc. Decent linux support (play/pause, previous, next, stop, eject, and sound keys work out of the box with both the gnome and kde desktops).

 "Great Product!!" 2010-08-12
By Keyboard Cowboy
I bought this keyboard becuase of the slimness and also because it didn't have all of the media buttons on it like other keyboards do. This keyboard feels just like if you were typing on a laptop. Great product. I would highly recommend this product to people if you like typing on laptops.

My first wireless anything. Works great. Anyone else not ever use the number pad section of keyboards?

"Not as good as some reviewers say." 2010-08-04
By chunky monkey (CA)
I was really surprised when after seeing so many positive reviews I saw that this HP keyboard was actually not that good. Its possible that the number of positve reviews came out of the fact that this keyboard was bundled with some hp computers.

Anyway. They keyboard is indeed thin and compact and at first you think its really great since the sound while you type only as loud as a regular laptop. Very helpful if you have people in the room while you chat with someone. Maybe in a school environment. It really is quiet.

The problem is that for experienced computer user it will be harder to type as there is pretty much no feedback or padding under the keys. It literally feels like you're hitting hard table surface with your fingers. There is no sensation of the key retracting to its original position, which makes it hard when you want to make sure you didn't miss any letters during typing.

This is especially annoying if you type fast. Even if you raise the legs, it feels really rigid and hard.

Another problem is that there is very bright blue led light on the wireless adapter that you stick into the computer. It doesn't turn off when you type and it is really bright. When you're in a dark room it creates an annoying blue light. It also flickers during your typing. Of course you can cover it up with a piece of paper, but the point is why should you. If you wanted to plug this keyboard into the front, or if its for a laptop its really annoying.
