"Great for the price but..." 2010-08-24

Great little keyboard for the price but the track ball is very loose and poor quality. Most of the time when you click the mouse buttons the trackball will jump off of what you are trying to click on. Functions great as a keyboard though.

"Good price, easy to use" 2010-08-23
By W. Kroger
After spending a lot of money on "media center" keyboards I decided to give this a try. It has all the functionality, the mouse ball and clickers are easy to use right away, the distance is good as it is used on my lcd tv. I liked the first so much I bought a second but the trackball not always perfect. Bottom line, good keyboard/mouse for media center or using computer connected to lcd tv and at a great price.

"Mouse clicks jump around due to trackball" 2010-08-22
By R. Ewers (Detroit, MI)
I use this for my home theater pc. I had an Adesso keyboard before, which was MUCH better in control placement and performance - until it broke within a year (some of the keys stopped working). So I tried this Iogear based on reviews.

The good news is - it always works. Keys work, and there are no real delays or hiccups in the wireless reception. But the trackball seems loose. When lying down and hold the keyboard in the air (vertically), it seems worse. Here's what happens. You put the mouse on something you want to click on, click, and the mouse jumps a couple of inches away - always in the same direction. When it's in this kind of mood, you absolutely cannot click on anything accurately while holding your thumb on the trackball. Instead, you have to take your thumb completely off the trackball before clicking.

The problem always happens while being held vertically, and sometimes while held horizontally.

I will be going back to the Adesso (which is sold under a bunch of names - it's the one with the gray keys and the corners that look kind of like a game controller). Hopefully I'll get one that lasts this time.

 "Good Cheap Keyboard" 2010-08-18

Many of the function buttons do not work natively with Linux or this would be 4 stars. Works excellent for the price, and the range works from my couch.

 "IOGear Multimedia Keyboard" 2010-08-15
By Cyrus (California)
Nice keyboard to be used with your entertainment equipment in the living room. Sometimes the laser roller ball when turning towards the right side would not move the cursor but pressing the ball a little would move the cursor.

All in all a good product. convenient placement of the right and left mouse buttons too.
