I have a macbook & I had zero issues. It was total plug & play. However, I must say I looked at the instructions from the other reviews and implemented them upon first use. I have had absolutely no problems with the use. I do wish there was an = sign on the keyboard, but it's really not a big deal for me. Also, the cord is a little difficult when retracting it. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

Every laptop without a numeric keypad needs one! Only two drawbacks I've experienced; 1) There is no "clear" key 2) Would be helpful to reconfigure the "000", "." & "0" keys for more intuitive key stroking. Also would be great to increase the size of the "+" key.
In order to clear the calculator I've figured out to hit the "Num Lock" key twice.

did not work with my MAC ( but it did work with my PC) . when i called the number on the back of the box, it was disconnected. went on their website and left a message for tech support. they never called back so couple of days later I called back and selected the sales option rather than tech support. she paged tech support and after about 20 seconds of trouble shooting, he just transferred me to the RMA department. Clearly , he must get these calls all day long !!!! The RMA guy said he would send me a call tag to return the unit and to send him an email with my info. then he sends back an email saying to contact the seller ( amazon) instead. he outright lied to me. all i can hope is that other potential MAC users read this review and they DON'T BUY THIS KEYPAD. Actually, I would never buy a product from Adesso again.

update: March 8 . Adesso issued an RMA after all ( coincidentally after I posted this review). And then they never send me a replacement after numerous phone calls and emails. AFter a little bit of hassle, Amazon kindly sent me a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement did the EXACT same thing as the first unit I received. So I guess that the Adesso keypad just doesn't work with mac 10.5 even though Adesso claims it does. I would say Adesso has some of the worst customer service I have encountered. Thank g*d Amazon came to the rescue with their excellent customer service!

I'm used to encountering a fair amount of hassle when using products with my MacBook Pro, even when said products are advertised as Mac-compatible. This little keyboard worked immediately upon plugging it into my USB port - not even any pesky dialog boxes to navigate through.
I'm going to use this mostly to enter numbers into Turbotax, so I'm not as bothered by the lack of "=" sign as some, but it's still a little annoying, so only four stars.

Wish I'd seen that before I ordered this one; maybe I'll order that one too, as this is sort of a handy gadget to have around.
But still, worked instantly! What a treat.
Personally, I reeeeeeally like the retractable cord on this, and wish more manufacturers would catch on to this way of doing things! Hey, no messy cord to get all tangled up in your drawer!
