Price was right and I did not need to deal with the problems of a wireless keyboard.

This was my second Adesso 'mimi' keyboard. The first was a 'mutimedia' model.

If U need the desk space and don't use a lot of fancy buttons it makes a great

keyboard. I am very pleased with both of mine.

"Great for saving space, not so great for extended typing." 2010-01-22
    By D. Keene (USA)
I bought this as a secondary keyboard for those occasions that desk space is at a premium, and I am mostly satisfied. The keyboard does have matrix issues which means characters can become transposed or an extra letter will appear when three or more keys are held down at once or in sequence. This makes using "alt+123" commands for non-standard characters a pain in the rear to get to work correctly.

Gamers know this as ghosting, and this makes the keyboard iffy for gaming use. I tested it in a couple games and to be honest I haven't noticed it being a problem. However, MMO players might encounter problems if they use complex macros assigned to multi-key shortcuts. But I don't, so for me this keyboard works great, even when gaming.

"Good little keyboard for general use. Not so good for numeric entry." 2009-11-12
By Robert Fleagle (Redmond, WA USA)
I really like this little keyboard. Its feel, accuracy, and speed are as good as anything I've used. The alphabetic keys are full size for easy and efficient typing and it takes up very little desk space.

I have not experienced any of the problems some other reviewers reported. I've TRIED to make it miss or reverse keys on two computers with two different operating systems (XP and Vista) and it never does; nor have I had any delays, sticky keys or any other problems. I notice that all the bad reviews are from 2007. I'm guessing there were problems at that time and that Adesso has fixed them.

The reason I only gave it only four stars is the embedded numeric keypad. It's useless, to me at least, because I have to hold down the FN key which ties up my left hand and I need my left hand to keep track of my place. It should be toggle, like the Caps Lock. Fortunately I use this keyboard on my home computer where I don't do much numerical entry. I have to use the top row for what I do. At work, where I do lots of it, this keyboard would be unacceptable.

Other (very minor) cons: Some keys (eg: Del) are in unusual places which takes some getting used to. It could use a Sleep key which could take the place of one of the two Windows keys (why two Windows keys anyway?). A wireless version would be nice.

     "Great Mini Keyboard" 2009-04-09
    By Nels (Fargo, N.D.)
This is a great mini keyboard. I was originally looking for a keyboard without the number pad. Normal size, just without the number pad. I had actually used another vendor's mini keyboard and it was a pain because I had to use goofy key combinations to do backspace and other normal functions making the other product awkward to use.

I reluctantly decided to try this mini keyboard.

Low and behold, it is a fairly normal keyboard setup. The backspace is where it should be IMHO. It types nice and doesn't click needlessly loud. This thing is also fairly thing. You could easily stick this in a suitcase, carry-on, or briefcase without taking up too much space. The only way it could be better is if it had backlit keys...
