I bought this replacement keyboard for my nephews Inspiron 1525 and it was very easy to install and works great. The only problem that I have with this keyboard is that the picture was not quite the same as the item I received. The image of this item shows the small pictures on the function keys that tell you what function they perform, the replacement does not do that. On the 1525, the volume control is managed by using the function keys so I did have to put my own arrows on the keys so my nephew would know how to adjust the volume. Other than that, the keyboard works great. Maybe slightly stiffer keys than the original, but in my opinion, that is a good thing. I do not like to hover over a key and have it press.

I have received this Item today in the mail and the item that I received was not the same product. Very upset cause now I have to wait cause its the weekend sent out an email and I would have to wait another week before I can another product

The new keyboard works great. The changing out of the keyboards was a little bit of a pain, but I was able to find instructions online.
The only negative would be that the new keyboard does not identify the Function keys in the same way. Thus, I had to make a legend for future reference.

I got this keyboard for my Dell Inspiron 1525 as a replacement. The colors are obviously different from the original keyboard (original is gray, this one is black), but I thought the color change would work. Well, it works great. The keyboard is a little stiffer than the original due to how new it is, and the keys have a nice texture compared to the smooth feel of the other keyboard. The only complaint I have is that the markings on the keyboard (above the function keys) are wrong for this model of laptop. Its a minor inconvenience for those who "hunt and peck", but if you're a touch-typer, it shouldn't be a problem at all. Overall, the keyboard is significantly better than the stock keyboard and gives my laptop a cool new look!

I bought this keyboard and sent it back because it looks nothing like the stock one. It works but for the same price you can buy the stock one with all the right keys and symbols.
