I got this so I could occasionally have a keyboard for searches or labeling on my media center pc I have in my living room. The device's dimensions and keys are actually really good. It feels solid and not cheap at all. The problem is that it does tend to lose keystrokes and if there's no line of sight to the receiver it often doesn't want to work at all. For something that is supposed to be radio frequency that's kinda lame. For my use(search words etc), this works just fine, but if you wanted a wireless keyboard for heavy typing, emails, or whatever, I'd recommend looking for something else.

This is my forth attempt to find a decent Media Center RF keyboard. All have had problems of one kind or another.
This particular remote is very nice actually. It feels like it's well built, and it's layout is pretty good. On the down side, the reliable range was less then 15 feet and the joystick-type mouse control can be a little challenging to use at times. Slowing down the mouse speed in the control panel helps that a lot if you have the patients to use a slow moving mouse.
I have a very large home theater that places me 25 to 30 feet from the computer (unobstructed) and this remote just can't handle that range. Other than that - really great for a HTPC set up. I'll be using this on the living room computer instead...

This mouse/keyboard is one of the best purchases I've made for my Entertainment center. I have computer with a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 dual tuner connected to my 52in Plasma TV via Windows Media Center (WMC). Even though I have a WMC remote, I often watch shows outside of WMC via a browser and always had to switch to my wireless mouse and keyboard when doing so. I have been using a wireless mouse and keyboard since I setup the system. However, I never liked having a mouse, mouse pad and keyboard in my family room. I saw this online and decided to give it a try. I've only had it for a day, but it's been great so far. It's small, about the size of a PS3 controller but thinner. The Mouse track takes a few minutes to get use to, however the convenience of having the keyboard and mouse in one small control more than makes up for the learning curve of the mouse nuances. The keyboard buttons are firm. I don't know if that's good or bad. I don't have a problem with it. It's plug and play with no software to install - it doesn't even come with a disk. Windows 7 recognized it immediately and installed the drivers. Anyway, if you have a computer entertainment center setup like I do and don't want to use both a wireless mouse AND keyboard, buy this controller. It is great.

The size is great for our living room media center. The keyboard is responsive but it would be nicer if it was easier to push the keys, each keystroke takes considerable effort so typing is a little slow. On the flip side of that, if you sit on it it doesn't start typing and changing the channel. The range is fine but line of sight seems to be important so we had to install the receiver in a usb extender so you don't have to find the right angle to get reception. Sometimes when typing a keystroke here and there are missed which is annoying. The mouse controller is OK but a bit hard to be precise with. to click on specific icons it sometimes takes a lot of maneuvering. I think a rolling ball or mouse pad would have been more effective.
I'd moderately recommend it if you want a small keyboard and mouse in your living room for light media consumption and internet browsing, but encourage you to look at options with a different mouse configuration first.

This is without a doubt the worst pc accessory I have ever purchased. I was hoping to use it with my XBOX 360. Where it did work, it was so lightweight, that I needed 2 hands to use it, the buttons are spongy that they continually pressed the same button multiple times. Totally useless for games like Final Fantasy!! If I had the chance I would throw it throw the window of whoever designed it!
